Three Hungry Huntsmen

Year: 2007

Media: pen & ink, digital editing, digital print, Japanese book bind

Description: Original story was written, illustrated, and bound for my undergraduate thesis project at the University of Pennsylvania. The story is tells an ageless message of the wrongs of stealing through minimal and specific visual language, playful characters, and comprehensive repetitious text to be enjoyed by children and parents. The book is thirty-three pages in length with fifteen full-spread pen and ink illustrations. Color was added digitally using Adobe Photoshop. I bound the final seven hardcover copies using the Japanese stab binding technique.
This story was later translated into an interactive eStorybook you can go to by clicking here.

Client: University of Pennsylvania Fine Arts Department
